So we did another hour of dual instruction a couple days ago... performance stuff... short/soft landings and takeoffs. Nothing difficult, just need to study the procedures.

Last night I did my first solo away from the airport. That was fun. I didn't go too far, just 10 miles away or so. It was kinda hazy so I was a little nervous about finding my way home. :) Did some turns and sightseeing mostly. Just wanted to get accustomed to being alone up there. Need to do another hour of solo sometime this weekend. Now that I got that first one out of the way, the weight has been lifted off my shoulders somewhat. I'll take my camera next time and snap a few shots.

It stills feels a little surreal, considering I just started all this a couple months ago.
