Class on Tuesday night was more about airspace and radio procedures. There's a lot to it for sure, but it all makes sense and fits together when you study it for a while. I have class tonight (every Tuesday and Thursday) and we are supposed to have a test over the chapters we have read so far. The instructor says we will use the class tests as more of a learning/review exercise than for grades. Of course the only test that matters is the FAA exam anyways.
We also recieved some handouts that detailed radio procedures for our local airport (MGY) and Dayton International (20-30 miles north). This was very useful information as he basically gave us the play by play on how to get out of the airport from startup to departure. You would think there would be more to it when you fly out of a class C airport, but as long as you follow the rules and procedures its a snap.
One of the flight instructors stuck he head in the classroom and said hello towards the end of the night. I need to get with him in the next couple weeks, or sooner, and get scheduled for some flight time. Looking foward to starting that...
